To continue working with your Hotmail account, click any of the links in the Navigation area of the current page.
Click the Folders link on the top horizontal menu bar. You are taken to the Folders page. All of your folders are listed in the Folders List. To open a folder, click its name.
Next to each folder name, you can see how many messages are stored in that folder, how many of those messages are new, and the size (in K) of the folder.
To see the size of your account, look at the Total at the bottom of the Folders List. The number there is your account size (in K).
For the Bulk Mail folder, you can also click on the "Bulk Mail" link in the title line of the Inbox page.
The Bulk Mail folder is used to protect you from unsolicited e-mail (also known as spam). The Hotmail Inbox Protector examines all incoming mail that is not either blocked via Block Sender or filtered via your Personal Filters. If the message is determined to be Bulk Mail, it is placed in the Bulk Mail folder. Messages more than 30 days old will automatically be deleted from this folder.
If you receive a message in this folder which you do not feel should be considered Bulk Mail, you may do any of the following:
To change how Hotmail filters mail into your Bulk Mail folder, click on the Options link in the top horizontal navigation bar. Next, click on Inbox Protector. Here, you can modify the default settings and add addresses and domains from which you always want to receive mail in your Inbox.
Note: You may find that mailing list mail and mail forwarded from another e-mail address goes to the Bulk Mail folder. In order to make sure that these e-mails end up in your Inbox, you can create Hotmail Filters to filter this mail to your Inbox.
