DATABASE EXERCISE 10
BACKGROUND
You are employed by BMG Motors whose main showroom in situated in Newtown. The organization also operates a small showroom in neighbouring Anytown. You are required to key-in two database files for each of the showrooms and keep an up-to-date record of cars purchased and sold to, private individuals.
TASKS
1. Power your computer on and log-on to DATABASE.
2. Key-in the records as shown below. Give each of your files a separate name. Add your name as the last record in each file.

3. Print a copy of each file.
4. Print a list all cars whose price is less than œ3000.00 and whose mileage is less than 30,000 miles. On top of your list write your name and the set of commands you used to get the listing.
5. On 4th September 3 cars are sold. Showroom 1 sells the Opel Berlina and Showroom 2 sells the Maestro and the Triumph Acclaim. Up-date your file accordingly.
6. Produce a printed listing of all green cars which have done 30000 miles or more. On top of your list write your name and the set of commands you used to get the listing.
7. On 5th September 4 cars are bought. Showroom 1 purchases a 1983 'A' reg white Sierra 1.6L, 5-dr which has done 14,000 miles whose selling price will be œ4395 and also buys a 1982 'Y' registration red Cavalier 1.6GLS 5-door hatch, which has done 35,000 miles, whose selling price will be œ4295. Showroom 2 purchases a 1979 'V' reg Datsun Cherry Coupe in white which has done 44,000 miles whose selling price will be £1995 and also a 1979 'V' reg blue Volvo Sunbeam 1.6GL hatch which has done 34,000 and is expected to sell at £2995.
8. Update your databases accordingly and produce printed lists for the revised database files. On top of your list write your name and the set of commands you used to get the listing.
